The Canadian Association of International Development Professionals (CAIDP) is a non-profit corporation that was federally registered in February 1993 under the name Canadian Association of International Development Consultants (CAIDC). At the meeting of the members in November 2012, the name of the association was changed to Canadian Association of International Development Professionals (CAIDP) and a certificate of continuance was obtained from Industry Canada to continue its operation under the new Canada Not-for-profit Corporations Act
