The New America Foundation, formerly known as New America, is a think tank based in the United States. It focuses on a variety of public policy topics such as national security studies, technology, asset development, health, gender, energy, education, and the economy. The organization’s headquarters are in Washington, D.C., and Oakland, California. The think tank’s chief executive officer (CEO) is Anne-Marie Slaughter. Newsweek’s Howard Fineman described New America in 2002 as a “hive of cutting-edge policy entrepreneurship.”
