Opportunity Details
The YxY Weavership is a 10-month capacity-building fellowship for youth community organizers who are "weaving" local and global communities in service of education transformation. This program enables participants to contribute to the creation of life-affirming futures by deepening their skills as community weavers. The Weavership is designed in partnership with the Weaving Lab, a globally renowned community of practice for weavers, founded by some of the world's leading social entrepreneurs.
The act of weaving is complex: it involves deep self-awareness, developing intergenerational and intercultural relationships, organizing diverse education stakeholders around a common vision and mobilizing people into action. It involves being and becoming the (eco)systems we wish to see. As a YxY Weaver, you will learn how to weave the self, relationships, communities, ecosystems and movements towards a world where all people and planet can thrive.
Here are some examples of key themes you can grow in: Dialogue, Sensemaking, Revolutionary Love, Liberatory Learning, Radical Imagination and Prefigurative Politics.
If yes, this fellowship is for you.
