The Young Audiences Music Awards, abbreviated as YAMawards 2024, is an initiative of Jeunesses Musicales International (JMI) that accepts applications from the world’s best live music productions for young audiences.
About Young Audiences Music Awards (YAMawards)
YAMawards is the international music award honoring innovation and creativity and aims to recognize and support outstanding productions engaging young people. Since the launch of the award in 2008, only the best contestants in Young Audiences Music productions have won the award. The judging panel will evaluate the depth of storytelling, level of craft, and passion inherent to each finalist and winner.

Applications are now being accepted for the YAMawards 2024 in five fantastic categories:
- Best Participatory Project,
- Best Small Ensemble,
- Best Large Ensemble,
- Best School Concert and
- Best Opera.

Young Audiences Music Awards (YAMawards) Requirments
The Primary Judging Criteria of YAMAwards 2024 are as follows:
- Judges evaluate the music and all artistic material like text and choreography against the high quality within its genre.
- The musicians or singers should be highly talented and have qualified and inspiring communication with the audience.
- Judges will consider the relevance or necessity of the program, including Is these opens new musical horizons for the kids, or if it is innovative.
- The global touring potential of the production
- For the Best Opera productions, contestants should have high-quality staging and the music.
For the Best Participatory Project with young audiences, the Jury will evaluate the contestants against the following criteria:
- Relevance of the project, both artistically and socially
- The project’s intention for what to achieve and how well it does so.
- Engagement in the project
- Artistic expression and output with the creative process
