The Youth Climate Action Lab: COP 29 Edition, organized by the Youth Empowerment in Climate Action Platform (YECAP), in partnership with UNICEF, Movers Programme, and Skill Our Future aims to equip young climate leaders from the Asia-Pacific region with the tools and resources needed for meaningful engagement in multilateral climate processes at COP29 to ensure the following objectives:
From October to November 2024, selected participants will take part in a series of capacity building training sessions focused on key UNFCCC negotiation topics, grounded in the principles of climate finance, and just transition, as well as other critical areas such as adaptation, resilience, and climate justice. Furthermore, YECAP will host a post COP29 follow-up event to facilitate the exchange of key experiences, explore ways to share their learnings with their communities, and sustain their ongoing involvement with YECAP.
