The Women in Digital Business (WiDB) Program is a pioneering initiative by AM-Steve House, in partnership with the International Training Centre of the ILO (ITC/ILO) and Microsoft Philanthropies. This program is designed to empower African women entrepreneurs to thrive in the digital economy by providing the tools, training, and support needed for sustainable business growth and formalization.

From building an online presence to optimizing operations with innovative technologies, the potential is limitless. Yet, many entrepreneurs face challenges in adopting these advancements effectively. The WiDB program addresses these challenges, offering a holistic approach to equip women entrepreneurs with the skills, knowledge, and resources to harness the power of digital technologies and formalize their businesses.

Women in Digital Business (WiDB) Training Program Requirements

  • Be a woman aged 18-60 years (born between December 10, 1964, and December 10, 2006).
  • Be African and a resident of one of Africa's 55 countries.
  • You must have a valid email and WhatsApp accounts.
  • You must have access to a connected computer or smartphone with which you can access online.
  • Preference will be given to non-tech micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
  • Fluency in English Language.

Be an entrepreneur or aspiring entrepreneur with:

  • An existing business, or
  • A business idea you intend to implement within the next six months.
