About University of Milano-Bicocca Scholarships

Opportunity Details

These scholarships are part of the “Bicocca for Peace” initiative and aim to facilitate the educational progression of Afghan women by providing financial aid and other essential support for those enrolling in master’s degree courses taught in English.

Applicants who register or enroll in one of the University’s master’s degree courses taught in English can apply for this scholarship. If you are an Afgan female student and want to pursue your master’s degree in Italy, don’t miss this opportunity.

Benefits of University of Milano-Bicocca Scholarships

 Applicants will benefit from the program as follows:

  • Monthly stipend of 350 Euros (gross)
  • Free housing in university residences
  • Free meals (one per day, six days a week) and discounted additional meals
  • Full exemption from university enrollment fees, including regional tax for education
  • Additional support, including mentorship, tutoring, language courses, and counseling services

University of Milano-Bicocca Scholarships Requirements

Applicants must fulfill these requirements:

  • Female candidates of Afghan nationality
  • Possession of requisite qualifications for enrollment in a master’s degree program
  • Adequate knowledge of English
  • Meeting specific admission requirements for the chosen course of study

Required Documents

All applicants must prepare these documents first and then apply for the scholarship:

  • Copy of passport or other current valid ID
  • Curriculum Vitae (CV)
  • Motivational Letter (maximum two A4 pages)
  • Final diploma of a first-level degree with official translation in Italian or English
  • Certificate of exams (Transcript of Records) with official translation in Italian or English
  • Any additional documentation related to access requirements per the national legislation of the issuing country
  • Pre-enrollment receipt on the UNIVERSITY Portal, if available
  • Proof of English language proficiency (English Language Certificate or proof that previous degree was taught in English)

Selection Process

  • Evaluation based on:
    • Academic background and GPA (0-15 points)
    • Curriculum Vitae (0-15 points)
    • Correspondence between previous and chosen study courses (0-10 points)
  • Minimum score required: 26/40
  • Possible online interview to verify candidate’s skills
  • Results will be posted on the University notice board and website
  • In case of a tie, the younger candidate will be preferred
