About University of Lincoln Scholarship Programme

Opportunity Details

The University of Lincoln’s Africa Scholarship is designed to help students from across Africa to access postgraduate level study at the University of Lincoln. The Africa Scholarship is offered as a tuition fee discount against the cost of a postgraduate taught programme commencing in the 2024/25 and 2025/26 academic years.

 

Benefits of University of Lincoln Scholarship Programme

September 2024 and January 2025 Entry 

Scholarship Amount

The Africa Scholarship is valued at £3,000 and will be awarded to eligible students as a tuition fee discount during the first year of their studies. 

September 2025 and January 2026 Entry 

Scholarship Amount

The Africa Scholarship is valued at £4,000 - £5,000 and will be awarded to eligible students as a tuition fee discount during the first year of their studies. 

University of Lincoln Scholarship Programme Requirments

September 2024 and January 2025 Entry 

Selection Criteria

In order to be eligible to receive the Africa Scholarship, prospective students must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a national of, or have permanent residence in, Africa (excluding Egypt). 
  • Hold a Conditional or Unconditional Offer from the University of Lincoln for a full-time postgraduate taught programme commencing in September 2024 or January 2025.
  • Have completed a Bachelor’s degree (or an equivalent qualification that leads to postgraduate study) from a recognised institution, and have obtained a minimum of a 2:1 classification (or an equivalent).

September 2025 and January 2026 Entry 

Selection Criteria

In order to be eligible to receive the Africa Scholarship, prospective students must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a national of, or have permanent residence in, Africa (excluding Egypt). 
  • Hold a Conditional or Unconditional Offer from the University of Lincoln for a full-time postgraduate taught programme commencing in September 2025 or January 2026.

A £5,000 scholarship will automatically be awarded to students who have:

  1. a) Completed a Bachelor’s degree from a recognised institution, and have obtained at least the equivalent of a 2:1 classification or
  2. b) Completed a Pre-Master’s degree, or a qualification equivalent to a UK Master’s degree, with a comparable classification as determined by the University

A £4,000 scholarship will automatically be awarded to students who have:

  1. a) Completed a Bachelor’s degree from a recognised institution, and have obtained at least the equivalent of a 2:2 classification or
    b) Completed a Pre-Master’s degree, or a qualification equivalent to a UK Master’s degree, with a comparable classification as determined by the University

Application Date and Process

  • The scholarship will be automatically awarded to students who meet the eligibility criteria listed above. There’s no separate scholarship application form.
