Opportunity Details
Applicants seeking enrollment in a full (180 credit) postgraduate taught course that starts in September 2025 are eligible for this opportunity. Also, those with an immediate family member who has previously pursued a full undergraduate or postgraduate degree at the University of Dundee can apply. In this context, immediate family members encompass siblings, children, parents, and spouses.
This Scholarship’s value varies depending on your fee status:
The Scholarship applies to the applicant’s tuition fees, decreasing the amount owed to the University. This Scholarship is not a direct payment and cannot be increased under any circumstances.
If this Scholarship is applied when the applicant has paid their entire tuition fee (pre-matriculation) or after they have matriculated and paid their full tuition fee, the scholarship value can be:

The University of Dundee provides up to £3,000 for Alumni Students. If you meet the following criteria, then you will be eligible to receive the scholarship:
Visiting students: if you have studied at the UoD on an Exchange or Study Abroad route for a minimum of 1 semester, you may be eligible for the Alumni scholarship.
If you are studying a full (180 credit) postgraduate course on a part-time basis, you may be eligible for the Alumni scholarship. For full eligibility criteria please see the below 'Key Facts' document.
If you are not a direct graduate of the University of Dundee, but someone in your immediate family is, then you are also eligible for this Scholarship. If you meet the following criteria, then you will be eligible to apply for this scholarship:
Where eligible, this scholarship can be combined with one of the following scholarships:
Only one Alumni award can be awarded, either the direct graduate award or family award.
If you are returning to study
then unfortunately you are not eligible.
If you have previously completed a research placement/internship at the University of Dundee (minimum 3 months), or have completed a full year of study through the International College Dundee, you may be eligible for the Alumni scholarship. Please see attached documents for full eligibility criteria.
The value of this scholarship varies depending on your fee status:
There is no separate application form for this scholarship. You must apply to study an eligible course at the University of Dundee first and your eligibility will be assessed as part of your course application.
However, if you are not a direct graduate and need to notify them of an immediate family connection who is, then please contact them using the link below.
With permission from your family member, please send us any relevant documentation relating to their study at Dundee, alongside evidence of your family connection.
