The RAF fellowship enables selected journalists to gain invaluable insights into the work of the Organization, enhancing their understanding and interest, and thereby allowing them to report accurately on UN priority issues in their own communities. The fellowship provides them opportunities to learn from UN speakers and media experts, as well as to meet with senior UN officials, to receive training, and to establish ties with UN offices to support their future reporting. Previous RAF fellows produced high-quality coverage of the UN General Assembly and related events and developed a diverse international network, positively impacting their careers.

1. Open to full-time working journalists between 22 and 35 years of age;
2. Be nationals of the following developing countries or countries with economies in transition:
