Opportunity Details
This fully funded Scholarship aims to empower and support women from Afghanistan in pursuing higher education abroad. It is awarded a total of £35,000 based on academic merit and potential.
It provides an opportunity for female students from economically and socially disadvantaged backgrounds, particularly those at risk of persecution in Afghanistan, to pursue their educational goals in a safe environment free from threats and violence.

The Scholarship provides full financial support amounting to £35,000, covering tuition fees, living expenses, and other related costs for the duration of the selected degree program.
UniArk Women’s Scholarship 2024/25 Requirements
To apply for the UniArk Women’s Scholarship, female applicants should fulfill these requirements:
- Applicants must not require more than £35,000 at the time of application, per university requirements.
- Applicants should be a girl/woman with a usual residence in Afghanistan at the time of application. Applicants applying from outside Afghanistan are not eligible.
- The candidates must pursue a master’s or undergraduate degree (no second degrees considered)
- Applicants must have an offer to start a course at their target university at the time of application.
- Target universities must be in the UK, US, Australia, New Zealand, or EU
Required Documents
The applicant should prepare and submit supporting documents for this application. Applications missing any of these documents are not considerable:
- CV
- Identification: Copy of passport or other identification document (e.g., Tazkira)
- Proof of residence (e.g., bank statement, employment letter, school/university letter, reference letter)
- University Offer: Offer letter from the university
- Financial Requirement: Document from the university outlining financial requirements
- Financial Support: Proof of all other financial support obtained by the applicant
- Essay prompt: Please provide brief essays in response to the following questions while filling out the application form:
- Describe how your background aligns with UniArk’s mission of providing educational opportunities to students from disadvantaged backgrounds. (Max 3000 characters)
- Share your aspirations and goals for the future after completing your desired degree. (Max 2000 characters)
Selection Process
Below is the application and selection process for the UniArk Women’s Scholarship:
- Applications opened on Monday, 22 April 2024
- Shortlisting: UniArk emails shortlisted applicants for further instructions
- Interviews: Shortlisted applicants will receive an invitation for interviews.
- Final Decision: UniArk makes the final decision and notifies shortlisted applicants.
