Opportunity Details
The Harold W. MacGraw Center for commercial Journalism provides editorial support and grants up to $15,000 to seasoned journalists who wish to publish in-depth investigative and enterprise stories that tackle significant commercial, financial, or economic challenges on a variety of subjects. Applying is not restricted to those who cover business; a number of their previous Fellows were generalists with expertise in fields like education, health care, or the environment. Others have focused on subjects like economic injustice or corporate responsibility.
Both staff and freelance journalists are welcome to submit in text, audio, and short-form video; they especially value contributions that blend formats to create a multimedia package. They look for initiatives that address important local or regional issues, as well as those that highlight issues or groups that are underrepresented or tell compelling national or international tales. It is strongly advised that journalists from diverse backgrounds and people of color apply.
