About SOLA Admissions for Female Afghan Students

Opportunity Details

Students can apply for SOLA’s online application in English, Dari, and Pashto. Students and families can apply for either language only once. SOLA conducts admissions on a rolling basis and will reply to shortlisted students within 3-5 weeks of receiving their completed application form.

All interested school students can apply for 2024 SOLA Admission for classes that begin in September and run through August. SOLA offers math, science, English, Pashto, Dari, Islamic Studies, social studies, and art instructions. Additionally, SOLA offers summer enrichment courses through a program that brings international boarding school educators to SOLA. These courses include foreign language, art, science, creative writing, and outdoor education.

The schedule at SOLA comprises a full class day, additional physical activity, clubs, and an evening study hall. The school offers full scholarships for its students, three meals, and snacks in the morning and afternoon.

Students who study with SOLA wear school uniforms and live in dormitory rooms with a maximum of 6 to 8 girls each. The dormitory staff consists of teaching faculty and all female parents living in residential halls.

About the School of Leadership Afghanistan (SOLA)

SOLA School in Rwanda provides campus houses for students and staff in residential and academic settings. Students who study with SOLA have a school uniform and live in dormitory rooms with a maximum of 6 to 8 girls each. The dormitory staff is teaching faculty, and all female parents live in residential halls. Additionally, there are separate buildings for the cafeteria, library, assembly, academics, and various study spaces.

SOLA arranges travel permissions for its students, but their family members should arrange them themselves. Parents can travel to Rwanda to visit their children using the travel arrangements and documents.

Each student will have a unique SOLA email address, telephone line, video chat, and a laptop to visit their parents during the designated times of the day.

SOLA Admissions for Female Afghan Students Requirements

Applicants should meet the following requirements to be eligible for SOLA Admission:

  • SOLA students are girls; therefore, applicants should be female.
  • Hold Afghan nationality.
  • They should have completed their schooling by grade five.
  • Must be highly motivated with a strong work ethic.
  • Students should have permission from their families to travel to Rwanda.
  • Agree to live in a boarding school environment with other girls.
  • No English language proficiency is necessary; students will learn English at SOLA.
