About Plug and Play Good Food Makers Program
An eight-week project in which managers from Barilla collaborate to improve the food system. a campaign to provide entrepreneurs with a chance to demonstrate their ability to address interesting use cases.
Barilla helps entrepreneurs create the happy, sustainable food of the future. The goal is to work with the food industry’s solution providers to test a strong solution for each of the four difficulties and to spur the development of new sustainable food solutions.
Benefits of Plug and Play Good Food Makers Program
One startup will be chosen to access the program for each category.
- Selection: Startups who respond to the call for applications will go through a screening procedure that is determined by the standards set by the managers of Barilla who are participating in the challenges. One startup will be chosen for each challenge to participate in the eight-week project cooperation.
- Assess and Plan: Each firm that is chosen for Good Food Makers will meet with the assigned Barilla team, identify objectives for the following eight weeks, come up with solutions, and create an action plan that will be carried out collaboratively, utilizing the €10,000 Proof of Concept financing.
- Innovate: Every startup will get access to Barilla’s pilot plant so they can collaborate with the Barilla team to develop, explore, and refine their ideas depending on desired results. They will also get access to Barilla’s manager’s priceless expertise to expand their company even more.
- Partner: Both parties will determine whether to proceed with producing a widely marketable product based on the results of the proof of concept. Opportunities for future collaboration with the chosen firm could include investment, co-branded products, initial corporate customers, and ongoing technical assistance.
Plug and Play Good Food Makers Program Requirments
Eligibility Criteria:
The goal of this year’s call is to find four startups whose concepts aim to advance at least one of the following four agri-food industry sectors:
- Smart Start: which looks for digital ways to streamline and improve the onboarding of new employees into production teams.
- Energy Shift: Their goal is to find new solutions for producing energy that is even more sustainable and efficient.
- Tasty and Healthy: searching for cutting-edge ingredients to enhance products’ nutritional profiles even further while preserving their sensory appeal and customer approval.
- AI for consumer insights: Their objective is to assess digital technologies for gathering and analyzing customer information rapidly and effectively.
