In line with their mission, NWAG is pleased to announce its scholarship program for 2024, aimed at supporting female undergraduates in Nigerian universities.
The NWAG scholarship presents a unique opportunity for female undergraduates in Nigerian universities to receive financial support for their education.
Benefits of NWAG Scholarship Program for Nigerian Students
- Financial Support: Winners will receive $300, while 1st and 2nd runners-up will receive $150 and $100, respectively.
- Recognition: Scholarship recipients will be acknowledged for their academic achievements and commitment to education.
- Opportunity: The scholarship offers a platform for female undergraduates to pursue their educational goals with reduced financial burden.
NWAG Scholarship Program for Nigerian Students Requirements
- Applicants must be a Nigerian citizen.
- Applicants must be proficient in English Language
- Applicants must be a female undergraduate enrolled in a Nigerian university (excluding final year students).Must be a Nigerian citizen.
- Applicants must provide proof of state of origin.
Application Documents
- Proof of state of origin: Letter of Origination from the university or a letter from the local government office.
- Two letters of recommendation from any two of the following:
- Pastor or Imam
- Village Head
- Local Government Chairperson
- University Lecturer or Head of the Department.
- One letter of recommendation from either the Dean of your Faculty or School Head of your Department.
- Photocopy of current university student identification.
- Current photograph of the applicant.
- An explanation of why the scholarship is needed and why the applicant deserves it (not exceeding one-half typed page).
- A typed, double-spaced, two-page essay on the given topic;
“The alarming exodus of professionals leaving Nigeria for greener pastures: What is the cause? What can be done to improve or reduce this mass exit? How does this “Japa Syndrome “ affect education in Nigeria?”
