Benefits of NEW UI GREAT Scholarship
1. Tuition Fee Waiver (for a maximum 4 semesters)
2. Covering the cost of student visa application, VITAS and stay permit, only once (at cost.)
3. Supporting the cost of return ticket allowance for economy class, with maximum amount of IDR 10.000.000 only once, IDR 5.000.000 for each departure
4. Settlement Cost Allowance, DR 1.500.000 (only once)
5. Health Insurance Allowance up to ID 400.000 month
6. Living Cost Allowance, ID 3.500.000 month (including accommodation cost)

NEW UI GREAT Scholarship Requirements
The following are the eligibility criteria for applicants:
- Applicants must be a non-Indonesian citizen.
- Applying for a Master’s degree at Universitas Indonesia.
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree and provide certificates & academic transcripts (in English or Bahasa).
- Must not hold a master’s degree previously.
- Must meet UI Degree admission and scholarship requirements.
- Maintain at least a GPA of 3.0 throughout the study period.
- Must not be registered at any other university in Indonesia.
- Must submit a NEW UI GREAT Letter of Statement and a Recommendation Letter from the Indonesian Embassy.
- Fulfill English and Bahasa Indonesia proficiency requirements (language preparation class provided if necessary).
- Pass Indonesian Language for Foreign Speakers-BIPA Level 2 after language preparation year (mandatory to continue master’s studies)

Admission Guidelines
1. Admission Registration Fee
NEW UIGREAT applicants must pay for admission registration fee of USD 100 and upload the receipt of payment through admission website. Merge NEW UI GREAT letter of statement and Recommendation letter from Indonesia Embassy (free format) into 1 pdf document (max. 3MB).
2. Language Proficiency
- It is mandatory for NEW UI GREAT Scholarship applicants to meet the English and Bahasa Indonesia proficiency requirement of the chosen major/study program/faculty.
- If the applicants cannot meet the Indonesian Language proficiency requirements, applicant must attend Indonesian language preparation class for 1 (one) year at UI (covered by the scholarship).
- If the applicants fail to pass BIPA 2 after one-year preparation class, they will be required for full repayment of the scholarships received.
- Applicants will continue to study after passing minimum BIPA level 2 and complete their master's degree at UI within the designated study for period of 4 (four) semesters.
3. Mandatory for Applicants
It is mandatory for NEW UI GREAT Scholarship applicants to submit:
- NEW UI GREAT letter of Statement
- Recommendation Letter from Indonesian Embassy (free format)
Application Date and Process
- Visit the admission portal via the link below.
- Complete the University of Indonesia online admission form.
- Pay the admission registration fee of USD 100 and upload the receipt.
- Merge and upload the NEW UI GREAT Statement Letter and Recommendation Letter from the Indonesian Embassy in a single PDF (max 3MB).
- Upload all required documents (transcripts, certificates, language proof, etc.).
- Apply before 27 March 2025.
- Await the interview invitation and results.
