From June 23 to 26, the National Press Foundation will be back in Singapore to provide journalism training on a broad range of topics related to sustainable international trade. These topics include China’s impact on the region and the world, sustainable investment, the implications of the U.S. presidential election for trade, economic data analysis, supply chain problems, environmental and social impact, and emerging trends.

NPF provides this chance for journalists to grow professionally, learn more, and revitalize their reporting on one of the most important beats in the news today.

  • The foundation will pay for most meals, lodging, and airfare.

National Press Foundation International Trade Training for Journalists Based in Asia Requirements

  • Only journalists based in Asia may apply for this program. Journalists can work in print, radio, television, or digital media, and they can be national or foreign workers. Diversity is highly valued in all of our programs.
  • They welcome applications from people of all nationalities, but journalists must be based in Asia. Journalists that have a coverage strategy and track record covering these topics are given priority.
  • Candidates must consent to abide by COVID-19 and Singaporean visa regulations.

The following is required (all entries must be made in English):

  • Two samples (from the past year) of your work
  • A recommendation letter from a supervisor or editor (or, in the case of independent contractors, a letter from someone who has proofread or published your work)
