National Endowment for Democracy (NED) Grants Requirements

Applicants must meet these requirements:

  • Applicants must be a non-governmental organization (NGO)
  • Organizations can include civic groups, independent media, and other similar bodies
  • Applications from newly established democracies, semi-authoritarian, repressive societies, and countries undergoing democratic transitions are encouraged.
  • NED does not fund individuals, governmental bodies, or public universities
