This prestigious scholarship presents a remarkable opportunity for individuals aspiring to pursue a two-year master’s degree in MSc Development Policy and Politics, complemented by an internship at the Mo Ibrahim Foundation. The successful candidate will embark on a comprehensive one-year MSc program encompassing modules such as International Development, Development Policy and Politics, Governance and State-Building, and Democracy, Dictatorship, and Development.
Moreover, recipients will engage in an integrated one-year internship, dividing their time equally between conducting research with academics at IDD and the GSDRC, and contributing to the impactful initiatives of the Mo Ibrahim Foundation in London. This internship promises invaluable hands-on experience, focusing on initiatives aimed at placing governance at the forefront of Africa’s development agenda.
One of the distinctive advantages of this scholarship is the opportunity to become part of the Now Generation Network (NGN). Comprising Ibrahim alumni of Fellows and scholars, as well as participants of the annual Now Generation Forum (NGF), this network serves as a vibrant platform for emerging African leaders and young professionals. With members hailing from all 54 African nations, the NGN offers a diverse pool of expertise and backgrounds, fostering collaboration and growth.

In addition to the standard documents, you are required to upload a 500-word statement and CV. Your statement should highlight why you are the strongest candidate for this scholarship.
