The Jemila Abubakar Essay Competition is an annual essay competition organized in memory of Miss Jemila Abubakar, the pioneer program manager of Asido Foundation who passed after a brief illness in July 2020. The Asido Foundation established the annual JAME competition in her memory, for undergraduates of all tertiary Institutions in Nigeria (Universities, Polytechnics, Colleges of Education, Schools of Nursing etc.)

- Applicants should be an undergraduate in any
- Nigerian tertiary institution;
- Applicants must be able to provide proof of studentship;
- Applicants must sign the Asido Foundation's Unashamed pledge (asidofoundation.com/unashamed).
