About IRENA Youth Forum 2025

The Assembly is the Agency's ultimate decision-making authority where Heads of State/Government, Ministers and global stakeholders meet to discuss and advance the energy transition.

The 2025 IRENA Youth Forum will strengthen youth networks and connect them with global thought leaders, government representatives, and IRENA experts. The Forum will create a space for young people to contribute to the Agency's mission of accelerating renewable energy deployment to achieve climate objectives and advance the sustainable development agenda.

Through a series of interactive sessions, including open dialogues and thematic workshops, participants will be able to add a youth perspective to the global energy discourse.

IRENA Youth Forum delegates are expected to attend and participate in:

• High level plenaries
• Experts Debates & Roundtables
• Workshops and Seminars
• Interactive activities
• Youth Circles
• High Level Bilateral meetings

Benefits of IRENA Youth Forum 2025

• Upon selection, full sponsorship, including travel and accommodations, will be provided for up to 35 participants.

IRENA Youth Forum 2025 Requirments

• Open to youth between the age of 16 and 35 years;
• Applicants should show interest in renewable energy;
• They may be from anywhere in the world.

Application Date and Process

The deadline for individual applications is September 24, 2024 (at midnight, Abu Dhabi local time). Participants will be selected based on their commitment to accelerating progress on renewable energy deployment.
