Applications are open for the Halcyon Climate Fellowship Program 2025 for Latin America and the Caribbean. The program aims to empower entrepreneurs across Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) addressing climate mitigation, adaptation, and resilience. Founders gain expert training, critical resources to accelerate their ventures, and two one-week, in-person residencies in the region to accelerate their ventures.

Program Structure
- Cohort of up to 10 ventures founded by entrepreneurs from across Latin America and the Caribbean, working in the climate space. Ventures receive training in Halcyon’s methodology on product-market fit, investment readiness, and leadership.
- Program is delivered through:
- One virtual kickoff meeting
- A one week residency in Mexico City, Mexico
- Monthly virtual meetings
- A one week residency in Colombia
Timeline
- May 30th, 2025: Application closes
- June 30th-July 1st, 2025: Finalists give Virtual Pitch for Selection Committee
- July 8th, 2025: Selected fellows will be notified
- Aug. 15th, 2025: Virtual Kickoff Meeting
- Aug. 25th-29th, 2025: In-person residency in Mexico City, Mexico

Benefits of Halcyon Climate Fellowship Program
Each program includes specific benefits to fellows. Fellows accepted into this program will receive the following:
- A $5,000 USD per venture equity-free stipend to use toward travel expenses to attend the residencies
- $10,000 USD in Amazon Web Services, Inc. (AWS) Cloud credits
- Workshops with experts on:
- Product-market fit
- Investment readiness
- Leadership
- Professional advisors
- Networking with investors and varied stakeholders in climate
- A worldwide community of nearly 600 impact-driven entrepreneurs

Halcyon Climate Fellowship Program Requirements
They are looking for (for-profit) startups that are building scalable solutions that are tackling challenges related to climate change.
- Location: Must have your venture based in and/or serving Latin America and the Caribbean
- Stage: Must have at least a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) that has the potential to scale. Must be working on your venture full-time.
- Team:
- May apply with up to one co-founder
- Applicant must be the CEO and/or hold primary decision-making power
- Must be fluent in English (program delivered in English)
- Must be at least 21 years of age by the start of the program
- Program Engagement: Must be able to participate in all activities and programming sessions
- Impact: Must be developing a product and venture which contributes towards 1 or more of the UN’s 17 SDGs
In addition to eligibility, Halcyon scores each application based on 4 criteria: Impact, Scalability, Innovation, and Talent.

To what extent will the solution, if scaled, have a meaningful impact on society and/or the environment?
SCALABILITY
Could this venture scale to reach hundreds of thousands or millions of users in a 5-10 year time horizon?
