About Global Center on Adaptation (GCA) Digital Content Internship
As a Digital Content Intern, you will contribute to amplifying CA's role as the global adaptation solutions broker on various digital platforms. Reporting to the Senior Communications Officer, you will work closely with the External Affairs team and colleagues across various thematic areas.
The Global Center on Adaptation (GCA) is an international organization working to accelerate action on adapting to climate change. They support adaptation solutions at the international and the local levels, partnering with the public and the private sector. Their focus is firmly on those who are most vulnerable to the effects of climate change; communities least prepared to withstand the health, social, and economic impacts of the climate emergency are their priority.
Responsibilities
- Social Media Management: Assist in developing, scheduling, and posting content on GA's social media accounts. Use tools like Falcon for social media management and analytics to track performance.
- Content Collaboration: Collaborate with program teams to create engaging content promoting GA's work and adaptation solutions. Monitor and analyze campaign performance to optimize results.
- Internal Communications: Support internal communications by contributing to GA's weekly newsletter, coordinating with colleagues, and using Mailchimp to design and distribute.
- Website Content: Help update and post content on the GCA website.
- Ad Hoc Tasks: Provide flexible support to the team on additional tasks as needed.
Benefits of Global Center on Adaptation (GCA) Digital Content Internship
- Intern will receive a salary of 500 EUR monthly.
Global Center on Adaptation (GCA) Digital Content Internship Requirments
- Applicant should be currently pursuing or completed a Bachelor's degree in digital media, communications, marketing, graphic design, or a related field.
- Basic proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere) and a willingness to learn more.
- Strong interpersonal skills and experience in diverse, intercultural environments.
- The candidate must reside in the Netherlands and be authorized to work there.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with an online animation software (e.g., Powtoon) is a plus.
- Familiarity with web content management systems is an advantage.
- Strong written and oral communication skills in English; proficiency in French is an asset.
