The Asia-Pacific Centre of Education for International Understanding (APCEIU) is pleased to announce the 10th Youth Leadership Workshop on Global Citizenship Education (GCED). Since 2015, APCEIU has been committed to empowering youth through dynamic platforms for discussion, idea exchange, networking, and mutual understanding on GCED and youth advocacy to foster a culture of peace at various levels. Organized in collaboration with partners including the GCED Youth Network, this annual workshop provides an opportunity for youth leaders to engage in active discussions and experience sharing with fellow global citizens worldwide.

Theme: “Youth Voices for Transforming Education through GCED” Date: April 29th to May 10th, 2024 (10 days)

Under this year’s theme, selected participants will explore ways to advocate for global citizenship education and its role in transforming education. Graduates of the workshop will have opportunities for grants and mentorship to support their follow-up initiatives.

10th Youth Leadership Workshop on GCED Requirments

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

  • Born between 1996 and 2005
  • Citizens of the Official Development Assistance (ODA) recipient countries and UNESCO Member States (Refer to the Annex for the eligible countries. Citizens of the Republic of Korea can also apply.)
  • Minimum 2 years of active experience in youth activities
  • Completion ot the e-learning course

 

(Course Certificate must be attached to the application.)

• Proficiency in spoken and written English
