French Space Agency (CNES) PhD Grants Requirements

Who can apply for these grants?

• Applicants must hold a Master 2 degree or an equivalent diploma before the start of the Ph.D. contract (October 1st).
• Open to candidates from all nationalities.
• Must meet Ph.D. admission requirements at a French university.
• Knowledge of the French language is required for research topics posted in French; it is encouraged but not mandatory for topics posted in English.
• Selection is based on academic excellence.

Application Date and Process

2. Select the Ph.D. project(s) of interest under the “Ph.D.” section in the contracts menu.

3. Contact the listed research directors for more details on the project.

4. Prepare and submit a complete application through the CNES website before March 14th, 2025.
