International Undergraduate Freshmen Scholarships

  • FDU International Scholarship

    Up to $24,000 per year

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Based on academic merit
    • SAT/ACT not required
    • Renewable up to four years
  • Global Housing Grant

    $3,000

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Must live on and attend the Metropolitan campus
    • Based on academic merit, financial need and extracurricular involvement
    • Recipients can still qualify for merit-based scholarships
    • Renewable up to two years
  • FDU Family Grant

    $1,500

    Minimum Requirements:

    • For families with two or more dependent children simultaneously attending FDU
    • Maximum of $1,500 will be awarded per person for up to 4 years for undergraduates
    • Recipients can still qualify for merit-based scholarships
    • Does not apply to students enrolled in Wroxton College, summer sessions, inter-sessions, mini-sessions, or other special sessions
  • Children of Alumni Grant
  • $1,500

    Minimum Requirements:

    • For dependent children of FDU alumni
    • Recipients can still qualify for merit-based scholarships
    • Renewable up to four years for undergraduates
  • Athletic Scholarships

    Varies (up to full tuition and housing)

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Recognizes superior athletic ability of students participating in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I
    • Only available at the Metropolitan Campus

Undergraduate Transfer Scholarships

  • Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Recognizes the academic merit of transfer students studying at community colleges in the United States who are demonstrated members of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society (PTK)
    • Proof of PTK membership must be included in application
    • Candidates must have completed at least 24 credits of college-level work
    • Renewable for up to two years
  • FDU International Transfer Scholarship

    Up to $16,000 per year.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Based on academic merit
    • Renewable based on continued full-time enrollment
  • FDU Family Grant

    $1,500

    Minimum Requirements:

    • For families with two or more dependent children simultaneously attending FDU
    • Maximum of $1,500 will be awarded per person annually
    • Recipients can still qualify for merit-based scholarships

General requirements include:

Applicants must:

  • Submit a complete FDU application for admission
  • Applicants should provide academic merit evidence; SAT/ACT scores are not necessary
  • Applicants should maintain good academic achievement to renew their quota for up to four years

Required Documents 

Please submit the following application documents for your admission:

  • Complete an online international application or apply using the Common Application.
  • Copy of attested or official transcripts, academic records, mark sheets, diplomas, national examination results, certificates, or degrees from all secondary or professional schools
  • Transfer students: Official course-by-course evaluation of all coursework completed outside the United States from a NACES-listed evaluation service
  • Proof of English proficiency (TOEFL, IELTS, Pearson PTE-A, SAT, or GTEC scores)
  •  Two letters of recommendation from academic references
  • Copy of valid passport information page
  • Completed Affidavit of Financial Support form
  • Official bank statement or scholarship/government sponsorship award letter

Please Note:

  • All documents and test scores may be scanned and uploaded to your FDU application portal or emailed to [email protected].
  • FDU reserves the right to request submission of official documents via post as necessary.
  • Admitted students who plan to attend FDU must submit official test scores directly to FDU from the testing agency and send official academic records in sealed envelopes prior to arrival on campus. Students will not be allowed to register for classes until official documents have been received.
