Earth.Org adamantly maintains that photography and visual representation are forms of art that have the power to inspire, educate, and galvanize action to protect our world. Photographers of all skill levels, from novice hobbyists to seasoned pros, are encouraged to enter this international competition and use their cameras to capture the amazing spirit of nature and wildlife.
There are usually a number of categories in the EO Climate Crisis Photography Competition, including underwater photography, landscapes, and wildlife portraits. Photographers have a canvas in each category to express their individual viewpoints on wildlife and the natural environment. Images that captivate viewers’ emotions are generally the consequence of a blend of technical mastery and a strong emotional connection to the subject matter in winning entries. Rewards might be in the form of praise, articles in wildlife journals, or even chances to work with environmental groups.
They extend an invitation to adventurers, professional photographers, and photographers actively involved in animal conservation worldwide to submit images for the following categories:
- Wildlife in Peril: Record or draw attention to the challenges facing wildlife and biodiversity as a result of climate change and human activity. For instance, animals that are stranded, in pain, or in danger.
- Climate Action: images that show broad or youth-led environmental protests, real-world climate solutions, or transformative initiatives (such renewable energy, sustainable living, beach clean-ups, etc.).
- Overall Winner: Six of the top images from the two aforementioned categories will be selected.
