About Danish Government Scholarship

Opportunity Details

Danish Government Scholarships at the University of Southern Denmark (SDU) are open to international students who want to study for a specific master’s degree. The Danish Government Scholarship, supported by the Danish Ministry of Higher  Education and Science, covers full or partial tuition fees.

To qualify for the scholarship, you must be a non-EU/EEA citizen enrolling in one of these Sønderborg Master’s programs:

Benefits of Danish Government Scholarship

The scholarship is granted either as full or partial tuition fee waiver.

A partial tuition fee waiver covers the tuition fee for one year (second and fourth semester), and you must pay tuition for the first and third semester. Note that fee waivers cover 30 ECTS per semester. If the number of courses exceed 30 ECTS they are not covered by the fee waiver.

Danish Government Scholarship Requirements

Applicants who meet these requirements are eligible:

  • Must be a non-EU/EEA citizen.
  • Enrolling in one of the following Master’s programs:
    • MSc in Engineering – Mechatronics
    • MSc in Engineering – Electronics
    • MSc in Engineering – Mechanical Engineering
  • The application must be submitted by February 1, and all required documents must be included.
  • Priority is given to your highest-ranked Master’s program if you apply for multiple.

Application Date and Process

Applicants need to apply directly to the program mentioned above. They don’t need to make a separate application. The best-qualified applicants who are offered a study place at SDU will automatically be considered for the Scholarship.

Required Documents

  • Application deposit fee receipt.
  • Official Bachelor’s transcripts and diploma in English, Danish, Swedish, or Norwegian (must include grades and ECTS/units/credits).
  • Course descriptions match the transcripts.
  • Proof of English language proficiency TOEFL iBT 88, IELTS 6.5, C1 Advanced (CAE) 180)

Note: All documents must be uploaded during the online application process. Documents sent via email will not be accepted.
