Opportunity Details
Cooperatives and Mutuals Canada (CMC) is calling for applications for the three CASC scholarships administered by CMC:
- Alexander Fraser Laidlaw Fellowship (graduate students only);
- Amy and Tim Dauphinee Scholarship (graduate students only);
- Lemaire Co-operative Studies Award (undergraduate or graduate students).
In addition to the monetary awards, winners of all three scholarships will be awarded a free one-year membership in the Canadian Association for Studies in Co-operation (CASC) as well as free registration at the CASC conference. Note that applicants must be willing to be featured as recipients and will likely be invited to present their research at an eventual CASC conference.

Canadian Association for Studies in Co-operation Scholarship Requirements
- Applicants must either undertake studies at Canadian universities or university-equivalent colleges (regardless of citizenship) or are Canadian citizens or landed immigrants studying at such institutions outside Canada.
- To be eligible, you must currently be pursuing your research or undertaking it within one calendar year.
Application Date and Process
In order to apply for any of these scholarships, fill out the application form and attach the items listed below.
- A copy of any previous degree(s) and transcripts);
- A list of academic awards, distinctions and scholarships (if any);
- Two letters of reference- one must be an academic reference;
- An outline of your research project.
