Opportunity Details
The Department of Psychological and Behavioural Science (PBS) is a growing community of researchers, intellectuals, and students who investigate the human mind and behaviour in a societal context. Their department conducts cutting-edge psychological and behavioural research that is both based in and applied to the real world.
They are offering two full (fees and a stipend) and eight tuition fees only scholarships, generously funded by the AKO Foundation.
Their programmes enable students to learn the core theories of social psychology and behavioural science, specialise in specific areas of interest, and conduct their own research.
Scholarship applicants are expected to demonstrate how studying at LSE will enable them to contribute to societal impact activities in their home region after the successful completion of their degree at LSE.
Applicants will need to demonstrate financial need and show they would not otherwise be able to attend LSE, along with the following:

Once you submit your application for admission to LSE, you will be given access to the Graduate Applicant Portal. This allows you to track all aspects of your application for admission and will include a link to the Graduate Financial Support Application.
Unless otherwise stated on the relevant scholarship page, all graduate study scholarships are applied for through the Graduate Financial Support Application.
The information you provide through the Graduate Financial Support Application will be used to consider your eligibility for the Graduate Support Scheme.
If you complete the personal statement section of the Graduate Financial Support Application, you will also be considered for any other scholarships you may be eligible for. You do not need to submit a separate application for each scholarship.
Your financial information will not be considered as part of your application for admission to study at LSE.

Deadlines
The deadline for submission of Graduate Financial Support Application for students commencing study at LSE in the 2025/26 academic year is:
24 April 2025 (17:00 UK time)
For your application to be considered you must have met both of the following conditions by the deadline:
- received a conditional or unconditional offer of study at LSE.
- sucessfully submitted a Graduate Financial Support Application.
It is recommend that your application for admission is submitted well in advance of the April funding deadline. Read the guidance on when to apply for admission.
Notification of decisions
After submitting your Graduate Financial Support application, please allow up to 24 hours to receive a decision on your eligibility for the Graduate Support Scheme.
The decision will be made available on the Graduate Application Portal.
The information you provide on your Graduate Financial Support Application will also be used to consider you for any other scholarships we have available for which you meet the eligibility criteria. We will only contact successful applicants regarding the outcome of these awards. Successful applicants will be notified throughout May, June and July 2025. Please ensure 'lse.ac.uk' is added to your email account 'safe senders' list to avoid any email notification going to your junk inbox. If you do not receive a response by the end of July, your scholarship application has not been successful.
