Opportunity Details
The UK Conference of Science Journalists 2024 is ABSW's premier biennial event that enables science journalism and communication professionals to discuss and debate contemporary issues in science journalism, to promote professional development and to link with colleagues, encouraging journalistic entrepreneurship. The UKCSJ24 will be held at the Francis Crick Institute.
The Association of British Science Writers offers training and networking events, professional development and special interest groups, access to scientific journals and other science writing resources and an annual awards scheme that celebrates excellence in science journalism.
The diversity scholarships for UKCSJ24 are available to British citizens or those who have the right to work/study in the UK. You need to be based in the UK at the time of the UKCSJ24 to apply, as the scholarships do not cover travel from outside the UK to attend.

Please complete the application form by 11:59 on Wednesday July 31, 2024. You will receive an email confirmation of your application and will be informed whether or not you have been successful by Friday August 9, 2024. If you are not successful you will then be provided the opportunity to register for the UKCSJ24 at our early bird rates (which are only available throughout June/July).
