About Asia Centre Internship Program

This program offers hands-on experience in a dynamic, international not-for-profit setting. Interns gain valuable skills through real project work in communications, partnership development, and research, with guidance from experienced mentors, preparing them for future careers.

Internship Focus Area

Interns at Asia Centre support various activities while focusing on one of three areas based on their skills and preferences, which are discussed during the interview and onboarding.

1. Research Intern
   Conduct research, interviews, and surveys. Draft content for reports, proposals, and media pieces and compile information for publications.
2. Communications Intern
   Manage website and social media content, create promotional materials, maintain mailing lists, handle media outreach, and design event branding.
3. Programme Intern
   Assisted in organizing seminars, workshops, and conferences, handled logistics, developed event concepts and schedules, and coordinated with speakers and participants.

Asia Centre Internship Program Requirements

They are looking for individuals who:

• Are passionate about civil society, democracy and human rights in Asia
• Understand volunteerism and are committed, reliable and willing to accept project management challenges 
• Are pro-active, who are able to problem solve issues and engage in self-learning
• Are team-players, who support others and are willing to contribute to the Centre’s projects and its long-term institutional growth
• Have good English language research and drafting skills, social media management ability, experienced in design, photography and video editing

2. Attach the following items

  • Official letter of university enrollment
  • Copy of photo page of passport/Copy of Thai ID card (for Thai citizens only)/Copy of Thai Visa (if applicable)

3. After submitting the Goole Form with all required attachments, please email to [email protected] with email subject title “Intern Application_(Your Name)” to alert Asia Centre of your application.

DURATION

The Centre accepts interns for a period of 3 to 6 months. Priority is given to those who apply for 6 months and/or exclusively to Asia Centre. Successful applicants are expected to be onsite, available full-time, not engaged in other activities and committed to the entire duration of the internship period. Once the start and end dates are agreed upon, the duration of the internship is non-negotiable.

GENERAL CONDITIONS

The internship is non-remunerated. The application has to ensure he or she has sufficient funds and support for travel, visas, accommodation, and living expenses.
