Internship Details

This internship is a full-time position based in  Washington, DC. The selected candidate will primarily focus on the program’s social media activities and the Into Africa bi-weekly podcast series. Additionally, they will assist in research, event planning, publication support, and administrative tasks.

Responsibilities Include:

• Publicizing program publications and events on various social media platforms.
• Editing and publicizing the Into Africa podcast.
• Creating and distributing mailings in Pardot.
• Providing research support to program staff.
• Assisting with event planning and administrative tasks.

CSIS Summer Internship Opportunity Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields preferred.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.
• Experience with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) and Canva.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Interest in African security, economic, and political issues.
• Ability to work full-time (35 hours/week) from early June to late September.
