About The Social Enterprise Accelerator (SEA) Program for Women-Led Initiatives

Opportunity Details

Madam Dolores Dickson, Executive Director of Densu Associates, shared insights about the SEA Program, stating that it is designed to address the unique challenges faced by young women in social entrepreneurship. In Ghana, there are approximately 115,500 social enterprises, many of which are micro or small enterprises facing barriers such as difficulties in obtaining funding, lack of advisory services, and limited technical skills.

The SEA Program, currently in its pilot phase, aims to address these challenges by providing tailored support to social enterprises. The program’s two primary objectives include:

  • Providing Financial and Comprehensive Support: Selected social enterprises will receive 12 months of financial assistance and customized advisory services to help them grow and become sustainable.
  • Strengthening the Ecosystem: Densu Associates will enhance its capacity to drive a robust ecosystem for social entrepreneurs in Ghana, promoting a more conducive environment for their success.

The Social Enterprise Accelerator (SEA) Program for Women-Led Initiatives Requirments

The SEA Program is open to:

  • Social enterprises or cooperatives led by young women
  • Social enterprises or cooperatives serving women, people with disabilities, refugees, or displaced individuals
  • Social enterprises based in Ghana
