Embark on a transformative journey in educational leadership with the Education Pioneers 10-week Summer Fellowship. This Fellowship is designed for talented graduate students and emerging professionals pursuing non-instructional careers in education, providing an opportunity to lead critical short-term projects in school districts, charter schools, government education agencies, or nonprofits. Fellows will live and work in one of their primary geographic regions:

  • Bay Area, CA

  • Texas:
    • Dallas
    • Houston
    • Austin
    • San Antonio
  • Washington, D.C.
  • Fellows lead crucial short-term initiatives that fall primarily within four priority areas: project/program management, data and analytics, operations, and strategy.
  • Summer Fellows receive a stipend of $7,200.
  • Fellowship programming will begin June 2025.

Education Pioneers Summer Fellowship Requirements

Summer Fellowship applicants must be new to the program and available to complete the full program in person in one of our target cities. They should hold a bachelor’s degree and have at least two years of full-time work experience (excluding graduate internships) or be currently enrolled in or have completed a graduate degree program. It is essential that applicants have authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis, with international students eligible if they do not require visa assistance. Above all, candidates should demonstrate a strong commitment to EP’s mission along with a passion for public education.

About the application 

  • Your application should take approximately 1.5 – 2 hours to complete. 
  • Be prepared to upload your resume, and share personal details, your employment and academic history, areas of professional expertise and skill, and geographic preferences.
