Opportunity Details

This flagship program offers a unique opportunity for emerging leaders to gain professional development, mentorship, and valuable networking connections while contributing to impactful projects that align with ECDAN’s learning goals.

Program Overview

In its fourth year, the ECDAN Knowledge Fellows program has been designed to support early-career ECD professionals globally. Participants will engage in a project that intersects the needs of young children with climate action plans, a critical focus given the current polycrisis and the urgent need to address climate change. The program is based on the belief that nurturing early-career professionals will not only enhance their interest and commitment to the ECD field but also bring fresh perspectives to global ECD conversations.

Fellowship Details

  • Duration: Nine months
  • Commitment: Approximately ten hours per week
  • Mode: Remote, allowing fellows to work from anywhere in the world
  • Mentorship: Each fellow will be paired with an experienced ECD professional who will provide guidance and support throughout the fellowship, alongside ECDAN’s Secretariat.

ECDAN Knowledge Fellows Program 2024 Requirments

To be considered for the ECDAN Knowledge Fellows program, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Advanced Degree: Must have received an advanced degree within the past three years.
  • Doctoral Status: Must not currently be writing a PhD dissertation.
  • Project Collaboration: Willingness to co-create a project with ECDAN that addresses climate change and young children’s needs.
  • Commitment: Ability to dedicate approximately ten hours per week over the nine-month period.
