Emory University offers partial to full merit-based scholarships as part of the Emory University Scholar Programs. Scholar programs are more than just merit scholarships. They empower students through resources and support to reach their full potential and make an impact on the university, Atlanta, and the world beyond.
Programs Available
1. EMORY COLLEGE WOODRUFF SCHOLARS
At Emory College of Arts and Sciences, Woodruff Scholars offers merit scholarships, unique programming, a strong Scholars community, and early class registration, among many great benefits.
2. OXFORD COLLEGE WOODRUFF SCHOLARS
Oxford College Woodruff Scholars offers merit scholarships and personalized faculty mentoring. Your scholarship goes with you to the Atlanta campus in your junior year.
3. GOIZUETA SCHOLARS PROGRAM
Goizueta Scholars are guaranteed admission to the business school, have priority access to business classes, are advised by the dean of the business school, and join a close-knit Scholars community.

In addition to these requirements, International applicants must meet all first-year admission requirements and demonstrate English proficiency and financial capability and other documentation as follows:
English Proficiency Requirements: Applicants whose primary language is not English must show proficiency in written and spoken English through TOEFL iBT or iBT Home Edition (100), C1 on the TOEFL ITP, IELTS 7.5, DuoLingo 130, or other approved tests below:
International Curriculum: Competitive curricula include International Baccalaureate (IB), Advanced Placement (AP), and British A-Levels. Other national systems are also recognized as strong preparation. Contact your regional admission officer with specific questions or check this link for approved international curricula by country.
Financial Aid for International Students: Need-based financial aid is available for a select group of international students each year. Applicants for financial assistance must submit accurate financial documentation.
International students must provide proof of sufficient funds to cover expenses, such as a bank statement or financial institution note. Those applying for financial aid should complete the Documentation of Finances accurately.
US Immigration: Admitted students should wait for visa documents before traveling. All international students must register as full-time students each semester, except for summer. A valid passport or official travel document is required.
Insurance: Medical insurance is mandatory. Enrolled international students are automatically included in Emory’s Accident and Sickness Insurance plan unless they have equivalent coverage.
Additional Materials: Additional materials, such as resumes or digital portfolios, can be uploaded through the Emory applicant portal. Mailed materials like printed books and CDs are not accepted, but digital submissions are encouraged.
