Applications are open for the Climate Entrepreneurship Exchange Program 2025. Climate Entrepreneurship Exchange is an 8-week, innovative extracurricular virtual exchange certificate program that fosters climate entrepreneurship among undergraduate students in Michigan, Egypt, Libya, and Morocco. The program promotes cross-cultural collaboration and communication while equipping participants with knowledge and skills necessary to create climate-conscious businesses.

Climate change is the defining challenge of our time, and business plays a crucial role in tackling it. Explore how creative solutions and business strategies can drive real change and see how you can be a leader in this effort. The Climate Entrepreneurship Exchange is your opportunity to connect with fellow students in Michigan and the North Africa region, build the business skills to create a climate startup and generate confidence to make an investment pitch.

Program Details

During the eight-week program, you'll collaborate in a cross-cultural team, work together to complete team assignments and learn to develop innovative climate business solutions. The program culminates in an exciting pitch competition. Members of the top two winning teams from North Africa will travel to Michigan for a weeklong immersion in the U.S. entrepreneurial ecosystem, while Michigan-based winners will embark on an unforgettable journey to Morocco, learning from regional entrepreneurship experts and exploring local culture.

The program will run four times:

  • Cohort 1 - mid-February - mid-April 2025
  • Cohort 2 - mid-September - mid-November 2025
  • Cohort 3 - mid-January - mid-March 2026
  • Cohort 4 - mid-April - mid-June 2026

Climate Entrepreneurship Exchange Program Requirements

Open to students from:

  • Egypt
  • Libya
  • Morocco
  • The University of Michigan Ann Arbor and
  • Dearborn campuses; Wayne State University; Michigan State University; and
  • Eastern Michigan University

You need to be an undergraduate student at the time you submit your application.
