Opportunity Details
The Boston Presidential Scholarship recognizes academic excellence and is available to exceptional students who actively participate in community events and extracurricular activities outside the classroom. It applies to incoming first-year undergraduate students at Boston University.
Each year, the Board of Admissions bestows the Presidential Scholarship on incoming first-year students who have excelled academically. Presidential Scholars are among the most academically gifted students, excel outside the classroom, and serve as leaders in their schools and communities.
The scholarship will cover up to $25,000 in course fees per year for up to four years of undergraduate study.

After admission to Boston University has been confirmed, the selection process begins. The panel thoroughly evaluates each applicant using the admission application form and supporting documents. The following criteria are used to make final decisions:
Students are chosen from among all eligible applicants and invited to an interview session. The panel evaluates the students’ overall profiles to select Presidential Boston Scholarship recipients.
